On November 6, 2023, the third and final DQALab training started as part of the GHPP LabTrain project, which is carried out by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and the Institute for Pharmaceutical and Applied Analytics (InphA).

The start of this final DQALab training was marked by a hybrid kick-off meeting together with partners and trainers. Three trainees from Armenia, Kenya and Uganda were welcomed at the BfArM:

  • Andranik Davinyan, Senior Expert at the Analytical Laboratory of the Scientific Center of Drugs and Medicinal Technology Expertise, Armenia

The DQALab training serves as a practical supplement to the virtual DQA (Drug Quality Assurance) training during the COVID-19 pandemic. The DQA training programs were developed in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) to strengthen the capacity of national control laboratories and improve drug quality monitoring according to international standards.

These trainings are crucial to strengthen capacities and competencies in the field of drug safety and to ensure the quality of medicines according to international standards.

The training concluded the DQALab training series and ended on December 01, 2023 with a joint final meeting during a visit of the GHPP LabTrain team from BfArM at InphA.

Further information on the training and content can be found in the DQALab1 and DQALab2 reports.
