Zimmer Inc., USA, has initiated a field corrective action regarding the modification of two rasp handles, which are part of the MIS Anterolateral Instrument Sets (catalogue numbers and lots see annex). The action is being taken because the c-clips may detach from the instruments during use. The c-clips located near the rasp connection end of the instruments must be removed. In one case the clip detached and a revision surgery became necessary.
