Corrective action of Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. for C-Reactive Protein Extended Range (RCRP) Flex reagent cartridges (DF34) on Dimension clinical chemistry system because of falsely elevated RCRP results. At elevated concentrations of CRP, the bias may vary significantly. The customers were informed about the problem and requested to do not use EDTA blood collection devices for sample collection and testing for RCRP, effective immediately.
