The Medtronic GmbH issued an information concerning the risk of a prematurely battery depletion of the Lifepak CR Plus and Lifepak Express defibrillators manufactured from December 2005 through August 2006.These defibrillators include an electrical component from a single lot that may fail early in product life. Affected customers are recommended immediately to inspect their defibrillators to ensure the battery is functional. Afterwards, this routine check should be conducted monthly according to the Operating Instructions.
