Medtronic Physio-Control issues a follow up information concerning the risk of a reduced overall battery capacity of the Lifepak 20 defibrillators. The internal batteries installed in the affected defibrillators may experience shorted battery cells. In addition to the recommendations given by the April 2007 notification letter Medtronic Physio-Control will replace all batteries manufactured prior to September 2005 that have been in use less than 2 years.
