In July 2007, Philips Medizinsysteme Böblingen GmbH issued an information about a recall of the HeartStart XL M4735A defibrillators. A small number of the defibrillators repaired within this measure may become unusable for monitoring, defibrillation or pacing because a few replacement control boards have been damaged in transit. The affected customers are recommended to remove the devices from service until the repair is performed anew.
