Smiths Medical has issued an information concerning a risk with Smiths Medical pressure monitoring kits with a trigger flush device. In some cases, the continous flow rate exceed may due to a fault in the production process. Affected devices are Smith Medical Logical®, Novatrans® and Transtar® manufactured between October 2007 and February 2008. (See the "Updated Urgent Field Safety Notice" dated May 9, 2008).
