The Medtronic Physio-Control issued an information concerning a modification to the cleaning and sterilization instructions for the Internal Defibrillation Paddles and Handles used with Lifepak 9, Lifepak 9P, Lifepak 12 and Lifepak 20 defibrillators. The unchanged use of the sterilization methods listed in the current labeling may result in damage or corrosion of the paddles or handles and in inability to deliver therapy consequently.
