Metrax GmbH has issued a Field Safety Notice concerning the external automated defibrillators of the Primedic™ HeartSave Series, manufactured from November, 2009 to January, 2010. There is the risk that interferences during charging of the high-voltage capacitor impair the impedance measurement and as a result, the charging is cancelled and no effective defibrillation shock can be delivered. The affected defibrillators are exchanged.
