Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP) has issued a field safety notice concerning with vacuum pump in the STERRAD® 200 System. It was determined that the vacuum pump may cause the emission of a slightly increased level of hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) vapour into the surrounding environment if not regularly serviced or replaced.
