Philips Healthcare has issued a Field Safety Notice concerning a corrective action of the HeartStart MRx Monitor/Defibrillator. There is the risk of delivering a non-synchronized cardioversion shock when the Therapy Knob is rotated while simultaneously the Sync button is being pressed, then the MRx HeartStart is charged and the shock button is pressed. A software upgrade and a device label revision will correct the issue.
