BOSTON SCIENTIFIC INTERNATIONAL S.A. has initiated a Medical Device lot-recall for the Wingspan™ Stent System.
Within an internal quality control non-conformity to product specification concerning the radial pressure of the stent was detected. The manufacturer states that as possible consequence a delay in the procedure or even a TIA or a stroke can not be excluded.
