Zimmer CAS has issued a Field Safety Notice concerning a corrective action of the Sesamoid Plasty Workstation. The plug contacts of the female receptacle end of the power cord are not sufficiently recessed and protected from access. When the plug is disconnected from the workstation, there is a potential electric shock hazard. Until a Sleeve Insulator device is installed by a Zimmer Representative, also the assembly/disassembly of the power cord should only be performed by Zimmer personnel.
