Berchtold GmbH & Co. KG has issued a Field Safety Notice concerning a corrective action of the Chromophare surgical lights and Chromoview camera, monitor and appliance carrier arms manufactured in the period December 2007 to October 2009. There is the risk that a weld in the joint at the back of the spring arm breaks and the spring arm swings at full speed to the lower stop. Until further corrective action is implemented it is strongly recommended to position the light head or monitor and spring arm in accordance with the operating instructions.
