GE Healthcare has issued a Field Safety Notice concerning a corrective action of the Giraffe and Panda Resuscitation systems with Blender including associated upgrade kits. On systems, operated on stand-alone basis or Warmer integrated, the air and oxygen inlet fittings may have been reversed.
There is the risk for paradoxical over delivery or under delivery of oxygen. The affected units should not be used anymore until they will have been repaired.
