In January 2007, GE Healthcare informed all user of Innova 2100^IQ and 3100/3100^IQ systems about a potential safety issue associated with the use of the Innova Sense software option. Objects which are protruding out from the body surface into the path of the detector may not be detected and collide with the detector. A new software version will correcet this problem.
