Already in September 2010 GE Healthcare had issued a Field Safety Notice concerning BrightSpeed Excel / Edge / Elite Select and BrightSpeed Elite CT Systems, because the table could stop during a helical or scout scan due to a specific table communication fault while X-ray continues (BfArM case 3469/10). Recently, the manufacturer expanded the range of affected systems on systems with software versions 09BW35.11 and 09HW30.4.
