Varian Medical Systems has issued a Field Safety Notice concerning a corrective action of the brachytherapy planning system software BrachyVision, version 8.2, 8.5, 8.6, 8.8 and 8.9. If doses to structures are being reviewed solely based on the Dose Quality Parameters in the plan report, there is the possibility of approving a plan that is unfit for treatment, or rejecting a plan that is fit for treatment.
