Varian Medical Systems has issued a field safety notice concerning a problem with Clinac®, Trilogy®, Trilogy Tx™ and Novalis Tx™ linear accelerators. The collimator angle position may be calibrating readout in reverse, switching the 90° and 270° positions. In this case a patient may potentially be treated with an incorrect collimator angle.
