Philips has issued a Field Safety notice concerning transesophageal echocardiography transducer S8-3t Micro TEE. It is recommended to inspect the transducer for voids or bubbles in the coupling oil of the acoustic interface prior to each use. Voids and bubbles can result in significant degradation of image quality.
