Direct Healthcare Professional Communication (DHPC) on Irenate (sodium perchlorate) drops from Austria: Risk of incorrect dosing due to a different dosage (number of drops per millilitre)

Actrevo GmbH in agreement with the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and the Hamburg Authority for Justice and Consumer Protection (BJV Hamburg)  would like to inform you that, in order to remedy the supply shortage, Irenat (sodium perchlorate) drops from Austria will be placed on the German market . When determining the dosage of the preparation of the Austrian medicinal product, the content of active substance in each drop must be considered: 1 ml = 21 drops = 300 mg sodium perchlorate.
